“Most of my photo shoots are spontaneous. Sometimes I only plan the date, team and mood of shooting, the rest is not planned at all and this works best for me and always brings good and surprising results” – Jacek Szopik.
When I first went to KSA I suddenly found my world opening up and it was fantastic! I could explore my ideas for the first time and I was continually supported and encouraged by the teachers who believed in us and helped us develop our talents.
I would love to continue to explore the technique of wet collodion plate. You should know what you want before taking pictures. Taking the picture takes about 10 seconds, during which time the model should be totally still. Wet Plate is a technique where I can express my feelings and creativity the most and I think that fashion and Wet collodion plate are “natural partners.”
I never wanted to make money out of my photography, because the most important to me is my passion and the love that I have for my work. This is the biggest award for me. In future I would like to continue with wet plate, meet more inspiring people and through my photography, show you the stories that touch my heart.
