ADMISSION
Admission is opened for any applicant with a high school diploma. No former study in the field of art is required, however, it is advantageous. It has been proven, that students without former artistic experience may have the talent to benefit enormously from taking our course of study. All that is required is a true interest in fashion, creativity and commitment. We are dedicated to providing entry to people within wide age range and from diverse backgrounds. No portfolio is required. Although most of our students will once work in the fashion industry or begin their own businesses, some complete the course simply for the satisfaction that achievement brings.
Application is possible throughout the year. International students are strongly encouraged to apply early to allow time to complete all admission requirements ( especially those who need Polish visa). The school year starts at the begining of October and lasts until around end of June. There are no extra entries in spring.

Please notice:
1. The registration fee and tuition fees are non-refundable. No allowance is made for non attendance. Your registration fee will be returned in full only in case you don’t get Polish visa – except there might be some bank costs which you will have to cover.
2. There are no extra fees for taking part is scheduled fashion shows.
3. The fees do not include the cost of materials necessary for attending classes such as paints, drawing paper, fabrics for collection, although the school may occassionaly provide some necessary materials for students.
4. Tuition fees are payable in advance and students who are in arrears will not be allowed to enroll for the next year.
5. Many students may be eligible for financial assistance from their local education authority, in such cases the school is happy to provide any documentation to assist students in obtaining financial aid.
6. Fees are revised annually with every effort to keep increases to a minimum.You also need to plan for other expenses like housing, books and materials necessary in the course of study. The average rent for a one bedroom appartment is 230-300 Euros per month. You can also share a flat with other students and lessen the cost up to 150 Euro. We can recommend reliable owners and estate agents. The best time for seeking an appartment is July, August and September.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Fashion School and Photography School – Classes partly in English, full time only
Most of the classes are workshops and a basic knowledge of Polish enables communication. English may be also used for communication with teachers and other students.Therefore, applicants must have at least an intermediate level of knowledge of English. There is an additional help during tutorial hours and Polish language class twice a week. English classes are held for two years. Support is to offered to international students in the following ways:
- All international students, should enroll in a Polish course at least one month before the beginning of the school year. We advice to take Polish language courses in your country or in Poland before starting education in our school.
- For our perspective students who decide to study Polish in Krakow we are opening one month language course in September (80h per month). Total cost of the course is 250 Euros per one month which is much less in other Polish courses in Cracow. (payment to 20.08). The price includes cultural and social program i.e. introductory guided tour of Old Krakow, guided tour of Kazimierz, the Old Jewish Quarter of Krakow, visit to the Royal Castle on Wawel Hill (the cost of entrance fees and transport is covered by course participants).
- Polish language classes will be held twice a week for one year
- Students will be assigned a tutor who will help them extend their understanding of subjects during the first year of study. From the very beginning of the course, you may meet with your tutor and other international students in a tutorial group.
- Classes that demand an excellent level of Polish, ie. History, will be held in English for international students.

Wygraną Anki Letycji Walickiej – absolwentki Szkoły Artystycznego Projektowania Ubioru, zakończyła się II edycja polsko-brytyjskiego projektu Fashion Culture, podczas którego zostały zaprezentowane kolekcje dwunastu absolwentów najlepszych uczelni modowych. Drugie i trzecie miejsce zdobyli absolwenci Central Saint Martins w Londynie – James Castle oraz Aimee Matthew-John.
Druga edycja Fashion Culture odbyła się 6 kwietnia 2013 roku w Londynie, w pałacu White House księcia Jana Żylińskiego. Zgromadzonym gościom swoje kolekcje pokazywały dwie absolwentki Szkoły Artystycznego Projektowania Ubioru (www.ksa.edu.pl) – Anka Letycja Walicka i Marta Makary, a także absolwenci m.in. Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design i London College of Fashion.Impreza odbyła się pod auspicjami Ambasady Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej w Londynie i T-Mobile Fashion.
Kolekcje młodych projektantów oceniało jury pod przewodnictwem polskiego arystokraty Jana Żylińskiego w skład którego weszli projektanci Joanna Klimas, Ziad Ghanem, Gosia Baczyńska, Maciej Zień i Agata Koschmieder, a także redaktor Michał Zaczyński – wicenaczelny Fashionmagazine, stylistka TVN Dorota Williams, redaktor naczelny magazynu KMAG Mikołaj Komar, dyrektor SAPU Joanna Gaweł, patron finansowy LCF Oliver Rothschield, stylista fryzur Roy Hayward, oraz Paul McNicholl – dziekan School of Design and Technology, London College of Fashion. To oni zdecydowali, że główna nagroda, którą jest dwumiesięczny płatny staż w prestiżowej pracowni krawieckiej MEYER&MORTIMER powędruje do Anki Letycji Walickiej, autorki kolekcji zatytułowanej N-HIL, która pokonała konkurentów przeważającą ilością głosów. Warto wspomnieć, że firma MEYER&MORTIMER istnieje od XVII wieku
i szyje ubrania dla członków rodziny królewskiej i gwardii Królowej Elżbiety, co świadczy o tym, jak wysokiej rangi jest to wyróżnienie.
Charakter nagrodzonej kolekcji najlepiej opisuje sama autorka:
Chciałam stworzyć surowy charakter kolekcji jak również efekt trójwymiarowości i złudzenia optycznego. Ogólnie – kontrastowe połączenia materiałów sztucznych i naturalnych, gładkich i fakturalnych, ciężkich i lekkich. Dzięki zamkom błyskawicznym, zapinanym i rozpinanym w różnych kombinacjach, można nadać ubraniom różne formy. Podeszwy – koturny, podobnie jak rzeźbione ręcznie dłonie w butach, zostały wykonane z drzewa lipowego, zaś cholewki z koziej skórki: futerka oraz bydlęcej. Dzięki szczególnym proporcjom butów, sylwetki zdają się unosić lekko nad ziemią – mimo warstw materiałów i nagromadzenia tkanin. Drewniane dłonie występują nie tylko w rzeźbieniach koturn, ale i jako element akcesoriów, na przykładów postaci naramiennika. Odnalazłam też spójność pomiędzy liniami papilarnymi opuszków palców i… słojami w drewnie. Oba rodzaje linii zostały zgeometryzowane do formy trapezu. Stał się on figurą wyjściową nie tylko do samych druków, ale i do budowania kształtów i konstrukcji poszczególnych sylwetek.
Anka Letycja Walicka może się poszczycić wieloma wcześniejszymi osiągnięciami. Zdobyła główną nagrodę Rady Wysokich Krawców i Rady Mediów na Cracow Fashion Awards 2012, zdobyła główną nagrodę za najlepsza kolekcję na konkursie Habitus Baltija 2012 – stypendium w New Academy of Fine Arts of Milan, zdobyła Złotą Nitkę Jury Mediów 2012, wyróżnienie Jury Kreatorów Złota Nitka 2012, zajęła drugie miejsce na OFF Fashion 2012 w Kielcach, pierwsze miejsce w konkursie organizowanym dla studentów SAPU przez Polską Akcję Humanitarną „Kolekcja dla Pajacyka 2010″. Oprócz tego zajęła pierwsze miejsce na Warsztatach ART AND FASHION FESTIVAL 2012 w Poznaniu, dzięki którym pojedzie odbyć prestiżowy staż w Central Saint Martins w Londynie.

FASHION CULTURE – ZAPOWIEDŹ
Pierwsza odsłona projektu odbyła się 11 lutego 2012 w Oranżerii Muzeum Pałacu w Wilanowie i była wielkim sukcesem zarówno organizatorów, jak i biorących w niej udział artystów. Młodzi projektanci z Polski i Wielkiej Brytanii udowodnili, że choć surowe zasady wielkiego świata mody traktują z dystansem, to mają głęboką świadomość istnienia ścisłych estetycznych granic w tej dziedzinie sztuki.
Marta Makary Barbarian
Z końcem roku 2012 projekt Fashion Culture rozpoczął przygotowania do drugiej edycji. Kolejne wydarzenie jest planowane na 23 lutego 2013 – sesja celbrycka z udzialem miedzy innymi Joanny Klimas w Londynie w Pałacu White House zaś wybieg tym razem zostanie rozwinięty w ekskluzywnych wnętrzach Banqueting House 6 kwietnia 2013 w Londynie. Po raz kolejny projekt zgromadził najzdolniejszych absolwentów szkół z Wielkiej Brytanii (London College of Fashion i Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design) i Polski (ASP w Łodzi, Krakowskie Szkoły Artystyczne, Międzynarodowa Szkoła Kostiumografii i Projektowania Ubioru w Warszawie). Druga odsłona projektu przypomina również, że poza szerzeniem kultury i sztuki na arenie międzynarodowej, Fashion Culture stworzono by przełamywać wszelkie bariery i łamać stereotypy.
Anka Letycja Walicka N_HIL
Najlepszym przykładem działań organizatorów jest zaproszenie do II edycji projektu niepełnosprawnych sportowców – medalistów z Paraolimpiady w Londynie, którzy wystąpią w charakterze modeli, będąc ubrani w kreacje czołowych projektantów tworzących w Polsce oraz w Wielkiej Brytanii. Ta uświadamiająca i edukacyjna akcja społeczna ma na celu pokazanie piękna jak i charyzmy niepełnosprawnych olimpijczyków. Zostanie ona zwieńczona sesją fotograficzną, której efekty będą zaprezentowane podczas wystawy towarzyszącej kwietniowemu wydarzeniu w Londynie a następnie w Warszawie w czasie trwania finałowego pokazu w siedzibie Stowarzyszenia Wspólnoty Polskiej.
Inauguracja wspomnianych sesji jak i oficjalne rozpoczęcie pracy nad projektem Fashion Culture odbywało się w Polsce i Londynie z zaledwie tygodniową różnicą. Sesja warszawska (26 Listopada 2012) inspirowana była pograniczem „czerwonego dywanu”. Celebryci, artyści oraz sportowcy z Paraolimpiady w Londynie złożyli swoje podpisy poparcia dla projektu FC na specjalnie zaprojektowanym plakacie, który zostanie zlicytowany podczas warszawskiego wydarzenia zamykającego tegoroczny projekt. Całkowity dochód ze sprzedaży zasili konto organizacji wspierającej dzieci niepełnosprawne, by mogły rozwijać się w zakresie, sportu, kultury jak i sztuki. Wśród gwiazd występujących na „czerwonym dywanie” a tym samym wspierających Fashion Culture znaleźli się Marek Kościkiewicz, Paweł Stasiak, Odeta Moro- Figurska, Paulina Drażba, Magda Sakowska i wielu innych. Polskich sportowcow z Paraolimpiady reprezentowała między innymi Natalia Partyka. Innym znamienitym gościem był Longin Komołowski (Prezes Stowarzyszenia Wspólnoty Polskiej oraz Prezes Polskiego Komitetu Paraolimpijskiego), który użyczył organizatorom swojej siedziby na Krakowskim Przedmieściu zaś złożeniem podpisu na oficjalnym plakacie „zapieczętował” swoją współpracę z projektem.
